Building and System Engineering Specialist

Job Summary:

In this role you will be responsible for troubleshooting, calibrating, and adjusting plant floor devices to ensure optimal performance of plant equipment. In this entry-level position, you will respond to breakdowns, expedite repairs, and provide support to maintenance mechanics. Your role is essential to ensuring that the conveyors and physical facilities remain in good working order, supporting the efficient operation of the facility.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to internal customer requests and facility alarms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with plant floor equipment and systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Assist maintenance mechanics in resolving breakdown situations.
• Ensure timely completion of tasks related to equipment repair and maintenance.
• Calibrate and adjust plant floor devices as needed.
• Participate in shift coverage and weekend duties to meet business needs.
• Contribute to maintaining the operational integrity of conveyors and other facility systems.
• Assist in identifying and solving daily operational problems.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in engineering (preferred).
• Basic understanding of troubleshooting networks, motor control theory, and electrical systems, including both AC and DC electrical troubleshooting (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and elementary diagrams.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, based on business needs.
